Our vision for the Kids Brigade* is to teach our children to love God through intimate relationship with Him (1st commandment) and to learn to love themselves so they can love people the way God loves them (2nd commandment). Matthew 22:37-40
*Brigade: Major Tactical Military Formation |
Our strategy for fulfilling this vision is:
- To give every child the opportunity to ask Jesus into their lives as their Lord and Savior.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 - To facilitate the children being healed spiritually, physically and emotionally.
This is how we know who the children of God are and who children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother. 3 John 3:10 - To teach the children to be steadfast in the word of God.
I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. . .Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. Psalm 119:11,105 - To help the children enjoy prayer and worship.
Even those I will bring to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples. Isaiah 56:7 - To equip the children to share the gospel with their friends and neighbors.
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." Mark 16:15 - To teach them about spiritual gifts and how they can use theirs.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6-11 - To teach them to be prepared and expectant for the Lord’s return.
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous. Psalm 19:9
